(b) The digital signature to be used may be Class II or Class III and
should have the IEC number of the firm embedded in the DSC;
(c) On registration at the portal, a password would be sent on the email
link to the IEC holder. In case the IEC holder desires to update email
on which communication is to be done with the portal, the same may
be done by using the ‘Online IEC application’ module on the DGFT
website.
(d) Once registration is done, all directors’/partners’ details and branch
details would be auto-populated in the certificate of origin as availa-
ble in the DGFT-IEC database. Please ensure that latest updated IEC
details are available in the DGFT system and necessary steps taken to
modify the IEC details online, whenever required;
(e) For further guidance on registration and application, Help Manual &
FAQs may be seen on the main page of the CoO platform.
(f) For any assistance you may utilize any of the following channels -

Refund Palm oil — Import conditions notified
[Add on page 1398 of 25th Edition of FTP & Handbook of Procedures, Vol. 1, 2019-20]
Subject : Conditions on import of Refined Palm Oil.
Central Government vide Notification No. 39/2015-2020 dated 8th Janu-
ary, 2020 amended the Import Policy of refined palm oil under Exim code 151190
from ‘Free’ to ‘Restricted’.
2. Import of refined palm oil under the above mentioned Exim code
will be permitted subject to the following conditions :
(i) The applications for import authorization should be accompanied
with pre-purchase agreement and details of the import of the above
items for past three years.
(ii) Validity period of import licenses/authorizations for refined palm oil
will be 6 months in place of usual 18 months.
(iii) Total non-utilisation of import authorization by the applicant will
lead to disqualification of the importer from getting any further li-
cense for these items in future.
(iv) Customs will be required to diligently enforce the Rules of Origin cri-
teria for import of these items originating from Nepal and Bangla-
desh.
