               Customs bonded warehouses — Electronic sealing for
                    deposit in and removal of goods from Customs bonded
                    warehouses — Circular Nos. 19/2018-Cus. and 10/2020-
                    Cus. rescinded
                       Subject :  Electronic Sealing-Deposit  in and removal of goods  from Customs
                               Bonded Warehouses - Regarding.
                       Circular No. 19/2018-Customs, dated 18-6-2018 [2018 (361) E.L.T. (T19)]
               and Circular 10/2020-Customs, dated 7-2-2020 [2020 (371) E.L.T. (T35)] provided
               for RFID sealing of goods to be deposited in or removed from Customs Bonded
               Warehouses. The implementation of these Circulars was deferred, vide Circulars
               No. 54/2018-Customs, dated 31-12-2018 [2019 (365) E.L.T. (T10)] and 20/2020-
               Customs, dated 21-4-2020 [2020 (372) E.L.T. (T11)].
                       2.  In view of the representations received from stakeholders, Board has
               decided to review the modalities under the aforesaid circulars.
                       3.  Accordingly,  a comprehensive circular is under consideration and
               shall be soon placed  in public domain  (cbic.nic.in) to seek inputs/suggestions
               from all stakeholders before issuance.
                       4.  In view  of above, Circular No.  19/2018-Customs, dated 18-6-2018
               and Circular No. 10/2020-Customs,  dated  7-2-2020 issued previously in this
               matter and yet to be operationalized, stand rescinded.

               Import of Milk and Milk Products into India — Veterinary
                    Certificate requirement — Instruction
                       Subject :  Requirement  of Veterinary Certificate for Import of Milk and Milk
                               Products into India - Regarding.
                       The undersigned is directed to refer to the letter of Director (Imports),
               Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (enclosed) on the subject ibid.
                       2.  Vide this letter it has been brought to  the notice of the Board that
               compulsory  veterinary certificate  issued by Competent Authority of exporting
               country is not being insisted upon by field formations in consignments of dairy
               products (including edible lactose).
                       3.  It is stated that this requirement has been mandated under the Food
               Safety and  Standards  (Food Products  Standards and Food  Additives)
               Regulations, 2011  and compliance of the same is to be ensured by field
               formations.
                       4.  Any  issues faced in implementation of this instruction maybe
               brought to the notice of the Board.
