Lentils (Mosur) & Lentils (Mosur) originating from USA —
Effective rate of Customs duty revised — Amendment
to Notification No. 50/2017-Cus.
[Amend at pages 708 and 756 of 71st Edition of Customs Tariff, Vol. 1, 2020-21]
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the
Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and sub-section (12) of section 3 of the Customs
Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is
necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further
amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of
Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 50/2017-Customs, dated the 30th June,
2017, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-
section (i), vide number G.S.R. 785(E), dated the 30th June, 2017, namely :—
In the said notification,
(a) in the Table, after serial number 21D and the entries relating thereto,
the following serial numbers and entries shall be inserted, namely :-

“21E 0713 40 00 Lentils (Mosur) 10% - -
21F 0713 40 00 Lentils (Mosur) originating in or 30% - -”;
exported from United States of
America

(b) In the first proviso, after clause (d), the following clause shall be in-
serted, namely :-
“(e) the goods specified against serial numbers 21E and 21F of the
said Table after the 31st day of August, 2020.”
