Customs Tariff
Tariff values for Crude Palm oil, RBD Palm oil, Palm oil (others),
Crude Palmolein, RBD Palmolein, Palmolein (others), Soyabean oil, Brass
Scrap (all grades), Areca Nuts, Gold and Silver revised. — Tariff values of
Crude Palm oil, RBD Palm oil, Palm oil (others), Crude Palmolein, RBD Palmole-
in, Palmolein (others), Soyabean oil, Brass Scrap (all grades), Areca Nuts, Gold
and Silver revised have been revised to US $ 596, 613, 605, 618, 621, 620, 713, 3198
and 3746 per M.T. respectively. Furthermore, Tariff value of Gold imported by
eligible passenger; Gold bars other than tola bars and Gold coins having gold
content not below 99.5% and gold findings have been revised to US $ 558 per ten
gram each and Silver, imported by eligible Passenger; Silver, in any form, other
than medallions and silver coins, and Medallions and silver coins having silver
content not below 99.9%, etc. have been revised to US $ 568 per kilogram each. —

Concessional rate of duty on import of milk and cream in powder,
granules or other solid forms, Maize (corn), Crude sunflower seed or safflower
oil, Refined rape, colza or mustard oil under Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ). — The
Central Government has prescribed concessional rate of duty on import of milk
and cream in powder, granules or other solid forms (0402 10 or 0402 21 00),
Maize (corn), other than seed quality (1005 90), Crude sunflower seed or safflow-
er oil and fractions thereof (1512 11) and Refined rape, colza or mustard oil and
fractions (1514 19 or 1514 99) for the quantities covered under Tariff Rate Quota
(TRQ) subject to conditions specified. — Notification No. 28/2020-Cus., dated 23-6-

Customs Law & Procedure
Exchange rates for import and export of goods. — Exchange rates for
Indian Rupee have been revised for imports and exports w.e.f. 19-6-2020. The
value of USD now stands at ` 77.05 imports while ` 75.35 for exports. — Notifica-
tion No. 53/2020-Cus. (N.T.), dated 18-6-2020. (See page N10)
Transhipment of export cargo from Bangladesh to third countries
through Land Customs Stations (LCSs) - Procedure under Circular No. 42/2018-
Cus. to continue. — With reference to Circular No. 42/2018-Cus., dated 2-11-
2018, which was issued to facilitate exports of Bangladesh to third countries, via
transhipment through India, the C.B.I. & C. after reviewing the utilization and
other relevant aspects, and with a view to facilitate trade has decided to continue
the facility under the said circular. It has been clarified that Transhipment of
goods from LCS Petrapole to Air Cargo complex, Kolkata, shall continue by fol-
