Foreign Trade Policy
Paracetamol API - Export policy revised to allow export freely. — The
Central Government has amended Chapter 29 of the Schedule 2 of the ITC HS
Export Policy to remove restriction on export of Paracetamol APIs covered under
ITC (HS) Code 2922 29 33. Now it can be exported freely. — M.C. & I. (D.C.) Noti-

Alcohol based Hand Sanitizers - Export Policy revised to “freely ex-
portable” from “Prohibited”. — The Central Government has amended Notifi-
cation No. 4, dated 6-5-2020 to the extent that only “Alcohol based Hand Sanitis-
ers” exported in containers with the Dispenser Pump, falling under any ITC HS
Code, are prohibited for export. Alcohol based Hand Sanitisers exported in any
other form/packaging are “free” for exports, with immediate effect. All other
items falling under the above HS Codes are freely exportable. — M.C. & I. (D.C.)

Diagnostic kits/Laboratory Reagents/Diagnostic Apparatus - Export
policy revised. — The Central Government has amended Schedule 2 of the ITC
HS Export Policy related to export of Diagnostic Kits by amending Notification
No. 59, dated 4-4-2020 to the extent that only diagnostic kits/reagents as de-
scribed in para 1(A) and all diagnostic instruments/apparatus/reagents as de-
scribed in para 1(B) falling under any HS code, including specified HS codes, are
‘restricted’ for exports whether as an individual item or as a part of any diagnos-
tic kits/reagent. All other diagnostic kits/reagents/instruments/apparatus fall-
ing under the specified HS codes are freely exportable subject to submission of
an undertaking by the exporter to the Customs Authorities at the time of export.

Sugar - Allocation of additional quantity of 3569 MT for export of sug-
ar to USA under Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ). — The D.G.F.T. has allocated an ad-
ditional quantity of 3569 MT raw cane sugar and refined sugar (at 98 degree pol),
out of non-levy (Free Sale) quota for export under Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) to
USA for the fiscal year 2020 (1-10-2019 to 30-9-2020). — D.G.F.T. Public Notice No.

MEIS/SEIS scrips - Increase in duration of validity and relaxation in
last dates for filling applications. — The D.G.F.T. has amended the HBP 2015-20
to provide relaxation from applicable late cuts for SEIS/MEIS applications and to
extend validity of scrips issued under Chapter 3 of FTP which are expiring be-
