Customs Duty on Phthalic Anhydride imported under the India-Korea
Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement increased. — On the rec-
ommendation of preliminary findings of Directorate General of Trade Remedies
under India-Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (Bilateral
Safeguard Measures) Rules, 2017, the Central Government has amended Entry
No. 230 of the Table under Notification No. 152/2009, dated 31-12-2009 to in-
crease the rate of duty of Customs on imports of Phthalic Anhydride falling un-
der Tariff Item 2917 35 00 of the Customs Tariff, exported from Korea RP and
imported under the India-Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agree-
ment till 21-1-2021 unless revoked, superseded or amended earlier. — Notification
No. 29/2020-Cus., dated 6-7-2020. (See page N17)
Diamonds (Cut & Polished) - Duty free re-import of Cut & Polished
Diamonds into India after certification/grading by the laboratories/agencies as
notified in FTP - Relaxation of three months granted for specified consign-
ments. — The Central Government has amended Condition No. (iii) of Notifica-
tion No. 9/2012-Cus., dated 9-3-2012 to grant relaxation of three months for re-
import of consignments of Cut and Polished Diamonds into India after certifica-
tion/grading by the laboratories/agencies as notified in the Foreign Trade Poli-
cy, where the last date of re-importation falls between 1-2-2020 and 31-7-2020. —

Import from Korea - Concessional rate of Customs duty for specified
goods revised. — In view of the recommendations of the Director General Trade
Remedies under India-Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement
(Bilateral Safeguard Measures) Rules, 2017, the Central Government has further
amended Notification No. 52/2009-Cus., dated 31-12-2009 to increase the rate of
Customs Duty on imports of Polybutadiene Rubber falling under sub-heading
4002 20 of the Customs Tariff, originating in Korea RP and imported under In-
dia-Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, till 28-1-2021, un-
less revoked, suspended or amended earlier. — Notification No. 31/2020-Cus., dat-
ed 13-7-2020. (See page N19)
Tariff values of Crude Palm oil, RBD Palm oil, Palm oil (others), Crude
Palmolein, RBD Palmolein, Palmolein (others), Crude Soyabean oil, Brass
Scrap (all grades), Gold and Silver revised. — Tariff values of Crude Palm oil,
RBD Palm oil, Palm oil (others), Crude Palmolein, RBD Palmolein, Palmolein
(others), Crude Soyabean oil, Brass Scrap (all grades), Gold and Silver have been
revised to US $ 628, 648, 638, 653, 656, 655, 728 and 3419 per M.T. respectively.
Furthermore, Tariff value of Gold imported by eligible passenger; Gold bars oth-
er than tola bars and Gold coins having gold content not below 99.5% and gold
findings have been revised to US $ 570 per ten gram each and Silver, imported by
eligible Passenger; Silver, in any form, other than medallions and silver coins,
