                                            Semi-Precious Metals and Articles thereof no more eligible for ware-
                                     housing under Section 58A (1) of Customs Act. — The C.B.I. & C. has amended
                                     Notification No. 66/2016-Cus. (N.T), dated  14-5-2016  to  allow deposit  of  only
                                     gold, silver, other precious metals and articles thereof in Special Warehouses li-
                                     censed under sub-section (1) of Section 58A of Customs Act, 1962 — Notification
                                     No. 61/2020-Cus. (N.T.), dated 27-7-2020 (See page N42)
                                            Drawback - All Industry Rates of Duty Drawback effective from 15-7-
                                     2020 - Amendments. — The Central Government has amended the All Industry
                                     Rates (AIRs) of Duty Drawback with effective from 15-7-2020. — M.F. (D.R.) Cir-
                                     cular No. 33/2020-Cus., dated 15-7-2020. (See page T33)
                                            Clearance of imported consignments of Livestock products, no Custom
                                     Sealed Sample  will be required/collected by  AQCS for clearance under  No
                                     Testing category for 272 Customs Tariff Heads. — While inviting attention to
                                     the Office Memorandum dated 15-7-2020, issued by the Joint Secretary, Ministry
                                     of Fisheries,  Animal Husbandry  & Dairying, the C.B.I. & C. has instructed  its
                                     field formations that to facilitate ‘Ease of Doing Business’ and early clearance of
                                     imported consignments of livestock products, no Custom sealed sample will be
                                     required/collected by AQCS (Animal Quarantine and Certification Services) for
                                     clearance of imported consignments under No Testing category for 272 Customs
                                     Tariff Heads. These imported consignments will be granted AQCS clearance on
                                     the Single Window System (SWS) based  on Veterinary Health Certificate up-
                                     loaded on the SWZ along with other relevant documents while filing Bill of Entry

                                            Suggestions  invited for review of  Customs Notifications, Laws and
                                     Procedures - Portal created at MyGov Innovate. — While inviting attention to
                                     the Budget 2020-21 Speech of the Hon’ble Finance Minister wherein it was pro-
                                     posed to crowd source suggestions for review of Customs duty exemption notifi-
                                     cations, the Customs laws and procedures for aligning them with the needs of
                                     changing times and ease of doing business, the C.B.I. & C. has taken an initiative
                                     to institute a facility at the MyGov Innovate portal for all the stakeholders/public
                                     at large to provide their suggestions online. The last date to submit the sugges-
                                     tions is 21st August, 2020. Field formations have been directed to create aware-

                                            Testing and Certification  for  Telecommunications Equipment under
                                     phase-II of  Mandatory  Testing  and Certification of Telecommunications
                                     Equipment (MTCTE) - Effective from 1-10-2020. — While drawing attention to
                                     Notification  No. TEC/01/2017-TC, dated 23-6-2020 issued by the Ministry  of
                                     Communications, Government of India, the C.B.I.  & C. has instructed  its  field
                                     formations  to ensure its compliance to the effect that testing and certification for
                                     telecommunications equipment under phase-II of Mandatory Testing and Certi-
                                     fication of Telecommunications Equipment (MTCTE) regime as provisioned  in
                                     India Telegraph (Amendment) Rules, 2017, shall be mandatory w.e.f. 1-10-2020.
